Undervisningsplan

The NFR funded research project Popular Music and Gender in a Transcultural Context is newly established and has as its main objective to develop theories that identify gender performances within a Norwegian and international context. Specific emphasis is placed upon gender theory, identity politics, cultural studies, popular music analysis, postcolonial theory, historical studies, as well as issues of ethnomusicological concern that intersect with popular musicology. In terms of the methodological approaches dealt with in this module, attention will focus on the development of skills in interpretation, audiovisual and music analysis.
