Assignment 1: Observation-based analysis

The goal of this assignment is to work with qualitative, observation-based analysis:
 

1. Watch the video: Flash Mob - Ode an die Freude 
2. Select some of the music-related movements that you find interesting and explain why you found them interesting. 
3. Use the functional categories of musical motion presented in the first lecture: discuss whether the movements are (1) sound-producing, (2) sound-facilitating, (3) sound-accompanying, (4) communicative movements. Refer to Jensenius et al. (2010) if you are unsure about the categories.
4. Write 1 A4-page about the the video and submit it in Canvas (file types pdf, doc, or txt). You may write in English or in Norwegian.
