Welcome to MEVIT 4610

Dear students, welcome to a new semester! We have a record number of students for this course, and I am very excited.

Social media is a phenomenon where there is yet little concensus, while a lot of research is going on. Instead of being told what we have found out, you will in this class be "apprentice researchers," conducting your own small research projects and reporting on them in a term paper.

We will have five workshops with a mix of lectures and seminar work. Before the first workshop, begin thinking about what you would like to study in your term paper. And please read the articles by Boyd and Ellison, L¨¹ders, and Fish.
