Seminar: The discussion meant for the seminar 26 March will be incorporated in the next and final seminar 16 April.
Seminar 26. March Sarah Chiumbu is sick and the seminar 26. March is cancelled. A new time for the seminar will be announced.
Exam: Take home exam 23-26 April. The exam will be given 23 April at 10 in IMKs reception (and after that on the web). The exam will be given in English, but you may write in English, Norwegian, Danish or Swedish. Hand in your exam 26 April between 12 and 14 in IMKs reception. Remember to bring valid ID.
How can Norwegian films survive in competition with Hollywood?
Dag Asbj?rnsen, senior advisor for research and statistics, the Norwegian Film Fund visits the Media Economics course. The Norwegian Film Fund is the Government’s executive body for film policy and handles the Government’s schemes for support.

Aftenposten Multimedia visits the Media Economics course.
The Norwegian media corporation Schibsted is becoming famous internationally for it's ability to move from print to online media markets. Aftenposten is one of Schibsted's newspapers - it has a long history as a traditional broadsheet newspaper - and it is now among the top 10 websites in Norway. On March 13, Stephan Granhaug, CFO in Aftenposten Multimedia (and former IMK student) will talk about this development from an ecoomic point of view.

The seminar plan for the rest of the term is now available.
Course starts with seminar in week 6
The course starts in week 6 with a meeting in the seminar group 5 Febr 1015-1200. This meeting is important in order to prepare for the next week which will be an intensive week with five lectures. All students are encouraged to (re)read Doyle's book before the first seminar.
NB: Week 7 will be an intensive week with five(!) lectures.
The following weeks will have lectures and seminar at normal intervals.
