TERM PAPER COMMENTS IN SEMINAR 11 OCT
Those who would like comments on their term paper in the seminar 11 October should send the outline by Tuesday 9 October at 15:00 to Birgit and Knut (see message below).
OUTLINE OF TERM PAPERS FOR SEMINAR DISCUSSIONS
Send a ONE page outline of your term paper to <b.h.kaare@media.uio.no> and <knut.lundby@media.uio.no> before Tuesday 2 Oct at 15.00 if you want your outline discussed in the seminar 4 Oct.
Your outline may include: Your theme, the theoretical perspective you want to apply, the question (what do you want to find out?), what empirical material do you have (what kind of digital storytelling / what type of medium), and your key literature references.
The outline should relate to the guidelines for the term paper The term paper must be linked to the main approach of the course. At least one of the main theoretical perspectives on the syllabus should be discussed in connection with an optional choice of digital storytelling. The term paper might be used as a preliminary investigation for the master's thesis.
MEETING WEEK 40 IN OTHER ROOMS
The lecture 1 Oct will be in room 205, the seminar 4 Oct in 208. The remaining part of the course in 207.

ACCESS TO THE BUILDING FOR NON-MEDIA STUDENTS
Students that are not registered with the Dept. of Media and Communication need to go to the reception of this department to get their student ID cards activated for this building. Opening hours are 9am to 11 am and 12 (noon to 2.30 pm.
READINGS FOR FIRST TWO LECTURES
To the lecture 27 August please look at the articles by Hjarvard (2004), Schultz (2004), Silverstone (2002) and Silverstone (2005) in the Compendium on the reading list
The lecture 3 September will relate to the book by Lambert (2006) and the Compendium articles by Hull (2003), Meadows (2003), Ogan & Cagiltay (2006) and Kaare & Lundby (2007).
