Information about the exam, JOUR4427
Monday 16 April at 11:00 - Thursday 19 April at 11:00
The exam assignment will be published on the semester page for the course on Monday 16 April at 11:00.
The deadline for submitting your exam is Thursday 19 April by 11:00 (11AM).
The exam is conducted in UiOs digital exam system, Inspera. A few things to note about this:
- You must use your UiO user name and password to log in in order to submit your exam.
- Inspera works best in Safari (on Mac), or Chrome or Firefox (on PC). If you are using Internet Explorer version 10 or older, you will not be able to log in.
- Your exam submission must be a PDF file. Inspera does not accept other file formats.
- Inspera closes automatically at 11:00 sharp. This means that your file must be uploaded no later than 10:59. We recommend setting aside some time for logging in and uploading your submission, as this may take longer than you expected.
For more information, please consult the UiO guide to submitting home exams in Inspera.
Before you start writing your exam, you must make sure that you have read and understood the University's information about cheating and use of sources and citations.
We strongly recommend that you read this ahead of the exam, so that you may ensure that your exam submission meets the University's standards.
Your exam submission should be approximately 10 standard pages long, not counting the front page and bibliography/reference list. 10 pages +/- 10% is generally considered acceptable.
A standard page uses the default Word margins, Times New Roman font in 12pt, and 1.5 line spacing.
The exam MUST include your candidate number on the front page. Do not write your name on the exam.Your candidate number will be published in Studentweb before the exam. We also recommend that you include your candidate number in the header text on your exam paper, and that you add page numbers.
Cristina Archetti can be contacted through email at cristina.archetti@media.uio.no and will answer any questions about the exam assignment sent on Monday 16 April by 13:00. Questions will be generally be answered by the end of the day.
