In addition to the general learning outcomes for ENG2307, after completing this spring 2019 course, you:
- can identify various ways animals and animality have been represented and constructed in U.S. texts from the 1960s to the present,
- know how to read animality in texts intersectionally, in relation to race, ethnicity, class, gender, sexuality, disability, and environment,
- know how to connect animals and animality in texts to key cultural, political, and historical contexts.
