From February 10, we will have physical teaching. I am looking forward to seeing you all in Undervisningsrom 3, Georg Sverdrups hus [the black library building]. We keep one meter distance in this room, which is rather large, and has one double desk for each of us.

All physical classes will also go on Zoom (no recording), in case you have a reason not to go to campus. You will get the link later, which will not be shown on the time schedule. However, I encourage you to be there in person.

Our department has decided that all teaching should be digital in January. From February, there will be more physical teaching. I will inform you when I know more.

Our classes January 20. and 27. will be on Zoom, in real time. There will be no recording, so you will have to be on Zoom these Thursdays 1415 - 1600. I ask you to show your face when on Zoom (but I cannot force you to).

You find the Zoom link by logging in to the time schedule for LING4140.

If there should be a problem with Zoom, please tell me immediately, by mail (helge.lodrup@iln.uio.no) or phone (90574785).

In our first class, I will use a hand-out that you can download from Canvas before class. You don't have to read it before class, but please print it out and have it available.

The campus bookstore has the books on the reading list.

There is an obligatory written assignment, where you work in groups. You will get the assignment February 10. The deadline is March 11.

We will have a gathering where you can meet potential supervisors for your MA thesis. This event will take place February 17 at 1615, following our regular class.
