While we are waiting for the Leganto reading list to be processed by the University library, here is a printout of the preliminary reading list ¡ª note that this includes both obligatory readings and suggested resources to be used for students¡¯ term papers.

Prior to the first seminar meeting, you are encouraged to familiarise yourself with the MERIP special issue on Nature & Politics as this provides a good introduction to several of the themes that we shall deal with in this course.

Please also have a look at the introduction and the afterword to the volume Environmental imaginaries of the Middle East and North Africa.
