Term paper
For this final paper you have been asked to find a topic of your choosing and utilize the concepts of Political Economy we have studied in class to answer a question you find is important for understanding China. You can draw from both historical and contemporary perspectives as long as they are useful for answering your research question.
Your paper will be evaluated and graded based on the following guidelines:
- Make sure to establish a concise research question early in your paper.
- Directly after, provide a brief summary of how you intend to answer the question.
- Describe the different stakeholders or social groups that are relevant to your topic.
- Describe how social or economic inequalities are produced due to the interactions between the different social groups that are relevant to your topic.
- In the conclusion, make sure to summarize how the details of your paper help answer your original research question.
- Make sure to provide a bibliography of all material cited in the text and use one citation format throughout. Please remember to provide page numbers when a text is quoted directly.
- Although there is no maximum word limit, make sure to use clear, concise language and that all of the content in the paper is directly relevant to helping you answer the research question.
