Friday 19th and next Wednesday

Dear all,

please remember that we will meet tomorrow at 12.15 in PAM 360, where we will have an exchange about your qualification paper. What has worked out so far, where did you encounter problems, are you unsure whether or not you are on the right track? These are some of the questions I would like to talk about in tomorrow's session.

Please also remember that there will not be a lecture next week, as I will be away for a conference. This also means that I will not be able to respond immediately to your mails, which in turn makes it important to talk about problems with your qualification paper tomorrow.

After that, we will meet again on Wednesday, 1.10. I had scheduled a lecture on Americanisation post 1945, but after yesterday's discussion I want to take the momentum and talk about "Audience Research and Popular Culture in the US and Western Europe from the 1930s to the 1980s", the lecture I had initially scheduled for October 22nd. To prepare for that session, please concentrate on the chapters by Rasmussen and Napoli in particular.
