Lister is a mxj object for list processing in Max.
Lister features
Lister accepts any list and performs scaling and a few analysis methods. Lister was made in particular for scaling of numbers in OSC-messages. If Lister is fed with an OSC-message it will leave the list structure as it is, i.e. it will not remove any semantic information but merely scale any number (float or int) to a predefined output range.
Further Lister will analyse the list and extract a few statistical facts about the list. The current version, which is beta 0.1, calculates mean, median, sum, variance, kurtosis, skewness, standard deviation, sum and product og the current list.
Note that Lister has no memory so that should be handled elsewhere in your patch.
Source and object will soon be available for download.
