Hardanger fiddle music

This dataset contains several hours of recordings of Hardanger fiddle music, from Norway, performed by three great fiddlers: Olav Lukseng?rd Mjelva, Astrid Garmo and Henrik Nordtun Gjertsen. For each recording are also precisely indicated the temporal location of each note being played, with its pitch. A subset has also been annotated with beat positions.

The motivation underlying the chosen approach is discussed in our TISMIR paper.

The careful correction of the note annotations for the 12 new tunes provided by Olav Lukseng?rd Mjelva was supported by an additional funding provided by the RITMO Centre.

For more details about the audio recording, as well as the note and beat annotation, see this page.
