In July 2018, the EPEC team travelled to different parts of the world to present the latest updates on our work incorporating predictive intelligence into interactive systems.
In Brazil, Kai Olav Ellefsen, Enrique Garcia Ceja, and Jim T?rresen presented at the IEEE World Congress on Computational Intelligence (WCCI). Their tutorial, "Prediction, Interaction, and User Behaviour" was a tour through machine learning techniques that can be applied to interactive systems such as robotics, smartphones, and creative applications.
In Japan, Charles Martin and Kyrre Glette presented at the 2018 Conference on Artificial Life. This tutorial, "Creative Prediction with Neural Networks" focussed on how artistic and creative data such as text, music, and drawing data can be represented, modelled and predicted with recurrent neural networks.
