This workshop will continue from discussions started in the workshop 5 May 2024, which led to the submission of a sketch to the Research Council of Norway's AI center initiative. We invite all interested institutions to come together to plan a full application for the 15 January deadline.
When signing up, we ask you to choose between one of three topics that we will use for group discussions:
- Machines – AI development and creative use: This includes (a) software/hardware development of creative systems, (b) creative use of AI technologies, (c) AI for analysis, such as information retrieval and machine sensing.
- Society – Policy and rights: This includes (a) copyright vs moral rights vs privacy rights, (b) information systems, metadata, and databases, (c) licensing: trans-national, policy, and organizations.
- Humans – Knowledge, ethics, and experiences: This includes (a), the concepts of humanness and creativity, (b) perception, cognition, emotions, and wellbeing, (c) human-machine interaction in learning and education.
In this workshop, we invite you to pitch 1-3 well-thought-out and well-formulated research questions related to one or more of the subtopics. This is voluntary – not everyone is required to pitch. If you would like to pitch such research questions, you should let us know through the online form. Your contributions will be valuable in finalizing the application.
