Abstract
Academic writing is famously boring. It doesn't have to be, though. Paying attention to the rhythms of writing can make dead texts rise from the grave, make publishers say "yes" to you after saying "no" to 99 others, and make readers hold their breath and turn the page. So how does one write rhythmically?
