Food & Paper: Workshop on participant recruitment

A typical study sample consists of participants from within academia (students, researchers etc.). This is unfortunate, for a number of reasons. How can RITMO improve in this respect? How can we recruit more diverse participants? Is it even ethical to recruit your friends, colleagues, or other people you know? How can we increase the compliance rate in our studies?
