Short Biography
Tommi Himberg is a post-doctoral researcher at the Brain and Mind Lab at the Department of Neuroscience and Biomedical Engineering, Aalto University. He is currently working on a project on neurocognitive foundations of sociality, funded by the Academy of Finland. Tommi did his PhD in Cambridge at the Centre for Music and Science with prof Ian Cross, and has worked also at the Music Department at the University of Jyv?skyl?.
His current research interest is dynamics of improvised interactions (conversations, music-making, dance, movement improvisation), and group-level processes such as group emotions and affective and social effects of synchronised movement.
