The first part of the programme is open to the faculty. After the break at 15:00, the session is for recruits only.
Geir Horn
Geir Horn is Head of European ICT Research at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences. He has been working with European research for 20 years and has been coordinating 16 European collaborative projects ranging from coordination and support actions to large integrated projects. Geir has participated in multiple proposal evaluations for IST/ICT in FP5, FP6 and FP7 and has also been on the scientific review panel for several ICT projects within the areas of Cloud, communication technofixes, and Internet of Things.
Preparation for group discussions
Writing a funding application requires a constant optimisation of different sections of the application, including the introduction, the background/state-of-the-art, and the impact, dissemination and communication parts.
We therefore ask you to choose one of the following three topics and prepare some notes on what you consider as important when writing this particular section: (1) introduction; (2) background/state-of-the-art; and (3) impact, dissemination and communication.
