INTED organized an interdisciplinary workshop on AI and climate from February 7th to 9th. Students practiced integrating their own expertise with other fields, transferring theory to practice, and gained insight into the current issue of how to balance AI and climate.
Higher education in the Netherlands has extensive experience with various Honours programs and offerings. A full 15 years of Honours was celebrated on June 6th and 7th at Hogeschool Saxion and the University of Twente during the conference titled 'Unleashing Potential'. How do you create a common scientific language between an anthropological storyteller and a systematic biologist? This was discussed by Knut G. Nustad in his lecture on interdisciplinary collaboration in the Global Trout project on May 23rd. Interdisciplinarity is something that most people are interested in, but it is very challenging in practice. In his lecture, Nustad shared how they solved this in their project.
