Real-World Evidence on Pharmaceuticals– capitalizing on Norwegian health data

Join us for a seminar highlighting the breadth of real-world evidence (RWE) research on Pharmaceuticals at the University of Oslo—spanning drug utilization, effectiveness, and safety studies of pharmaceuticals and vaccines. Using Norway’s world-class health registries, clinical trial data, and advanced analytical methods, UiO researchers are generating cutting-edge evidence to support clinical practice, public health, and regulatory decision-making.

This seminar presents current and emerging real-world studies at UiO and offers a look into the future opportunities for large-scale health data analyses in the new Life Science building.

We will showcase how multidisciplinary expertise, Norwegian registry data and a new data analytical pipeline at UIO contributes to understanding treatment effectiveness, rare adverse events, and patient-specific risk profiles.

The program features talks from leading national and international researchers on:

  • Real-world studies for regulatory decision-making
  • Ongoing UiO real-world research initiatives on pharmaceuticals and vaccines
  • Vaccine effectiveness modelling and pandemic preparedness
  • Integrating clinical trial and health registry data to study real-world drug effectiveness
  • Collaboration with the pharmaceutical industry
  • Opportunities for data-driven research in the emerging Life Science building

Poster exhibition

Posters will present ongoing UiO real-world studies—including vaccine effectiveness, drug utilization, and safety evaluations—along with methodological developments such as target trial emulation, pregnancy pharmacoepidemiology, genetic integration, and OMOP harmonization of Norwegian data.

Coffee, tea, fruits and snacks will be provided.
