The Erasmus+ grant is intended to cover some of the extra costs you have abroad, not to finance the entire trip.

What you need to do?

Step 1

?Choose whether you are applying for a teaching or a training stay. In order to apply, the unit where you work must approve the stay and cover the remaining costs related to the mobility.

You apply for the grant via an online form.

The application deadline is 15 February.

Step 2?

Fill out the online form.

To be able to apply you must have:

  • An invitation letter from the partner/institution specifying the dates of the stay and the teaching programme or training programme
  • A Mobility Agreement (signed by you as the applicant and by your immediate supervisor)

Only complete applications will be considered.

Tips for the application:

  • Make early contact with the host institution so that the invitation letter is available when you apply.
  • Allow plenty of time to fill out the application form. You will need to describe the content of the programme, its duration, purpose and expected outcomes.

If you need help, the faculty international coordinator can guide you through the process.

Step 3?

Go on exchange!?

The receiving institution must confirm the dates of your stay by signing the Confirmation of Erasmus Staff Mobility for Teaching/Training.

Step 4?

Finances

This is a grant intended as a contribution to employees to increase mobility at UiO. It is not intended to finance the entire trip. Your local unit must cover the remaining costs related to the mobility.

You submit an expense claim in the usual way in DF? and your unit internally invoices the Study Administration for the grant amount when the stay has been completed.

The rates are set by the European Commission and the Norwegian Directorate for Higher Education and Skills for one academic year at a time. These are the rates for 2025/2026.
