The workshop is split in two, the first part, from 8.30 to 12, is technical and targets IT staff and researchers who do their own setup.
The morning sessions will present the options when setting up a GCP project with principles, security and how G Suite and GCP are connected. These topics are important to know from an IT-perspective when looking into GCP for the first time.
The second part will cover computing, data storage, data analytics and machine learning. These are among several popular cloud services you find in Google Cloud, and UiO has offered services on the GCP platform since spring 2019. These sessions will provide an introduction to several services that can be useful if you want to make use of GCP in your research. And for IT staff, it is beneficial to be familiar with common use in GCP when providing user support for researchers in this field.
