Join a walk along the river Akerselva, and learn about the social development and industrial revolution in Norway. On the walk we will pass several waterfalls, and enjoy the nature along the river.
At the starting point for the trip, the tour guide will hold a Norwegian flag and an ISS sign. Please see Google maps for specific meeting point, since Nydalen has several busstops. (Click on the name of the meeting point on this webpge, then you will be directed to the map.)
Nikolay Gerov leads the tour, and he is an authorized Oslo guide. Gerov was an ISS student in 2004, and enjoys sharing his knowledge about art and architecture with the world.
The walk is recommended to all students who want to learn more about Oslo and Norway, and especially to the students who take the ISS course Norwegian Life and Society (ISSN0500).
The walk will not be cancelled due to poor weather conditions.
