Partner universities

The International Summer School has a number of partner universities all over the world. Tuition fee is waived for exchange students from ISS’s partner universities. Exchange students must still pay the participation fee and accommodation costs.

Before you apply as an exchange student, you must be nominated by your home university.

Nominated exchange students from partner universities will be counting in the general exchange balance between University of Oslo and the partner university. Students earn 10 ECTS in the summer semester at ISS, which is calculated at a 3:1 ratio in comparison to a regular semester. As a result, nominating students for ISS will impact the number of students partner universities can send for regular semester exchange at University of Oslo in the next academic year.

Who can apply

An updated list of partner universities with exchange agreements will be published in January 2025.
