Required education:
- From 1980: Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) in combination with Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) with at least 3 subjects at "Principal level" in UACE. English and Mathematics must be passed in UCE with minimum mark 8 or in UACE with minimum mark E.
