Admission for refugees to the International Summer School

The International Summer School has a limited number of study places for refugees currently in Norway. These intensive summer courses run for six weeks, first day of classes is 27 June 2022. The application deadline was June 13 2022.

How to apply

Apply for these courses in the application portal S?knadsweb. Please note that admission is open for refugees currently in Norway only, you must have a National ID number and a MinID user in order to apply. See how to register a MinID user.

  1. Log on to the application portal with login method "ID-porten". 
  2. Chose the course you are applying for, it is only possible to register for one course.
  3. Upload your documents:
    1. Residence card (oppholdskort) or card for asylum seekers (asyls?kerbevis) (pdf).
    2. Educational documents and documentation of English language proficiency.
  4. Results of your application will be announced in June.

Technical requirements

In order to participate in our digital courses, know that you will need access to the internet and a computer. You will need to use Zoom and the UiO digital learning platform Canvas. For most courses you will need a computer with a microphone and a web camera.

Admission requirements for courses on bachelor's level

The general basis for admission to universities and university colleges in Norway is called Higher Education Entrance Qualification. For applicants with foreign education, the requirements are specified in the GSU-list. See admission requirements in the GSU list.

Documentation of English language proficiency for courses on bachelor's level

A degree comparable to a Norwegian bachelor's degree
