Ranking of applicants

Qualified applicants are ranked by their grade point average in the required specialisation (bachelor’s degree).

For students in integrated master's programmes and programmes of professional studies, the grade point average will be determined by results in courses from the first three years of study.

Based on their ranking, qualified applicants will compete for a study place within their quota (see below).

Quota

Admission to the honours certificate is organised in three quotas, with each quota comprising 10 study places.

  • 10 study places available for students enrolled in a master’s programme at the University of Oslo
  • 10 study places available for students enrolled in a master’s programme at other universities or university colleges in Norway
  • 10 study places available for students enrolled in a master’s programme at universities in the Circle U. Alliance

The purpose of these quotas is to secure a diverse and interdisciplinary student group, which is essential to the learning outcomes of the honours certificate.
