Admission requirements

The Sustainability certificate is open to any student currently enrolled in a bachelor's programme, incoming exchange students at the bachelor's level, and students enrolled in 5- and 6-year professional programmes at the University of Oslo (UiO).

Students enrolled in master's programmes, single subject students, or one-year unit students are not eligible to apply for the Sustainability Certificate.

Recommended academic background


At least 60 ECTS of bachelor's degree level courses.

These courses may be integrated into your bachelor’s degree if your study programme allows for the inclusion of free electives. Note that you must apply for admission to the Sustainability certificate in order to access the elective courses included in the certificate, and to receive a certificate in the Diploma registry.
