SAI Financial support for fieldwork
The Master's Programme in Social Anthropology offers financial support for fieldwork expenses to promote and facilitate students' fieldwork. Social Anthropology master's students can be reimbursed for certain expenses up to maximum fixed rates of NOK 2.000, 5.000 and 10.000. -

This scholarship continues the main intention from Signe Howell's fieldwork grant, with some adjustments.Financial contribution to the fieldwork expenses of a suitable Master student in social anthropology at a Norwegian university to encourage field studies outside the "Western world”. Funds up to NOK 30.000. - The University of Oslo Sasakawa Young Leaders Scholarship Fund
Funds of up to NOK 50.000 per applicant may be applied for to contribute to covering costs related to a research stay abroad for selected UiO post-graduate students, primarily candidates at the PhD level within the areas of Humanities,Social Sciences, Law, Education and Theology. Unpaid but opportunity to take on paid part-time work at PRIO (up to one day a week).
