Gender, sustainable development, peace and environment approaches to international law are receiving increased attention due to the impact of UN Security Council Resolutions on Women, Peace & Security, the launch of the UN Sustainable Development Goals, the adoption of UN Declaration on the Rights to Peace, and the Paris Agreement on Climate Change. This specialization will enable students to gain competence in the three fields: intersectional gender equality & governance, sustainable development, peace, and environment. This program combines courses from the Law Faculty and the Center for Gender Research (STK).
The courses offer a context-based approach which highlights linkages between the national, regional, and international levels. In addition, the Faculty of Law offers an exciting series of international public law lunches, guest lectures, and seminars highlighting national and international scholars and practitioners.
