Professor P?l Wrange will give a lecture on April 26th at 4 pm on Sovereignty, Cyberspace and International Law –Russian, Chinese, European and U.S. Perspectives in Aud. 2, Domus Juridica.
P?l Wrange (Ph.D, LL.M) is a professor of public international law at Stockholm University and the director of the Stockholm Centre for International Law and Justice (www.scil.se <http://www.scil.se> ). Wrange is a former principal legal advisor at the Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs, where he first encountered issues relating to international law and cyberspace as a member of an inter-agency committee on information operations in 2001. As a legal advisor he represented Sweden i.a. in the ICC Assembly of States Parties and in the EU working party on international law. He is currently a member of the Swedish government’s Advisory Committee on International Law, a member of the Permanent Court of Arbitration and of the OSCE Court of Conciliation as well as a member of the board of the Swedish National Human Rights Institution. P?l Wrange has been a visiting scholar and fellow at Harvard Law School, the European University Institute and the University of Melbourne and has published widely on international law, including on issues related to cyberspace.
