Conceptlab announces 2 student stipends for MA students writing MA theses within Conceptlab's research areas.
The stipends are NOK 20 000 each. It is a requirement that the recipient is engaged in MA-level studies in philosophy at the University of Oslo or intends to enroll in our MA-program. (See below for Conceptlab's research goals.)
In evaluating applications, emphasis will be put on grades, the relevance of the project for Conceptlab's research, and recommendations in letters from supervisor or other teacher. We are especially interested in recruiting women and students with minority background to research, and encourages applications from these groups. The application should contain a project description of no more than 2000 words, and be sent electronically to: lina.tosterud@ifikk.uio.no

The Science Studies Colloquium Series offers scholarships up to 30 000 NOK to master students, PhD students, and scientists with affiliation to the University of Oslo, who are writing their thesis, article, or project application within the field of science studies. Scholarship recipients will have access to the forum's network and expertise. The Science Studies Colloquium Series is committed to dissipation of all kinds of "research on research", including science policy, disciplinary and professional ethics, methodology, epistemology, history of science, philosophy of science, and sociology of science.

The scholarships amount to 30 000, - NOK each, 25 000,- of which is granted initially, and the remaining 5000,- if and when the candidate completes the Master's degree within the allotted time.

At Wednesday the 17th of August at 11:15 AM in room 203 in GM you will get information about the structure of the master's program in philosophy, also what you need be aware of and your possibilities during your studies, as well as important deadlines at the beginnning of the semester. From 12:15 PM, there will be presentations of the teachers in philosophy. At 1PM, you are welcome to a light lunch for students and teachers at room 452 in GM.
