The Faculty of Theology, University of Oslo, has a free position as PhD fellow within ethics, environmental philosophy, and ecotheology. The position is advertised as part of the UiO:Democracy project DEMOCRISIS: Democracy and Climate Crisis, which will analyse the climate crisis from different disciplinary and inter-disciplinary perspectives.

The Department of Philosophy, Classics, History of Art and Ideas (IFIKK) also has financial means to promote the study environment

The deadline for the spring semester 2024 is the 15th of February.

Democratic Governance and the Politics of Poverty

The Honours Certificate in Environmental Humanities and Sciences (EHS) is now accepting applications for the study year 2022. Application deadline is on 15 October.

EHS is a master’s supplement of 20 credits open to students with current admission to a master's programme, 5 year integrated master's programme or programme of professional study at the University of Oslo. EHS runs parallel with your main programme and provides a unique opportunity to achieve interdisciplinary competence within the field of Environmental studies. The certificate is particularly relevant to students who are highly motivated, have a large work capacity and an interest for questions related to climate change and the environment!

Is your MA thesis about literature and its cognitive and emotional dimensions? Then you can apply for a stipend.

The research group Literature, Cognition and Emotions offers up to 10 stipends for MA students at NOK 10.000 each.

The MA thesis must be written during autumn 2021 and spring 2022.

The deadline for applications is 10 June 2021.

The International Summer School (ISS) at the University of Oslo this year offers digital courses, in the period June 28 - August 6. A limited number of places are availalbe for students on a BA or MA programme at the University of Oslo.

You can appy for one of sixteen digital courses, all of which give ECTS credits (5-15). All courses are taught in English. Please contact your department for recognition of a course on your degree.

The Arne N?ss Stipends are part of the Arne N?ss Programme, and are designed to animate the humanist research on the environment and development at the Centre for Development and the Environment (SUM).

Call for applications: Deadline 16 December 2020.
