For a computer scientist, it is important to have knowledge about the complexity and the many information needs in the health sector. This way you can contribute to the development of good solutions for improving the delivery of health services to both individual patients and the population as a whole. Students who do the programme option informatics will in the first semester receive a basic introduction to relevant aspects of health services and the health sector.
Students from both programme options will collaborate closely during the entire course of the programme. By working in interdiciplinary teams with digitalization processes, you will meet many different kinds of perspectives and challenges. This will make you better equipped to make well-reasoned decisions about digitalization processes and contribute in assessing, designing, implementing and leading health-related ICT.
