PROTIST BIODIVERSITY AND TAXONOMY – WENCHE EIKREM

My research interests are in the biodiversity and biogeography of microalgae and protists of plankton and sandy shore environments, and I have paid special attention to the nano- and picofraction and to toxic algae. I use light and electron microscopy to reveal the morphology and micro-anatomy of the organisms in order to identify known species and to describe species new to science.
