Candidates from this programme will be qualified for a number of positions.
There is a great need for toxicologists for
- departmental and state assignments,
- for research,
- in education (university colleges, upper secondary schools, lower secondary schools) and
- in the private sector (consultancy agencies, oil industry, chemical and metallurgical industry etc.).
The programme gives the students a solid theoretical and research oriented foundation for EUROTOX-approval, and therefore there are career opportunities for candidates abroad (approval requires relevant practice as well as an adequate theoretical and research oriented background).
The labour market has been good for toxicologists and ecotoxicologist the last ten years and the demand for people with this academic background should increase in future.
