During the orientation week, you will receive important information about your new study program, and you will have the opportunity to get to know your fellow students and your place of study. Some of the activities arranged during the orientation week will be mandatory.
Introduction week at ITA
One week before the lectures begin, the semester starts with a “buddy week” for all new master's students at the Institute of Theoretical Astrophysics (ITA). During this week, you will receive important information about your study programme; meet your program coordinator, and other contact persons for your study option, as well as fellow students. You can ask for help with course registration and will get an introduction of the department and the university. You will also have the opportunity to get to know your new fellow students. There will be several social activities and some of the activities will be in collaboration with the new master's students at the Department of Physics.
Depending on which study program you have enrolled in (Computational Science (CS) or Astronomy), the weekly schedule will be somewhat different, and this is because the CS students usually have one compulsory meeting with other CS students. We recommend that you double-check what applies to the study program and the study option you have joined.
