Why are we sending your a survey?
As a user of our IT services, you know best whether you get the tools and the help you need. When we now ask what you think, it is to take the answers with us in the work to further develop and improve our services and user support.
At UiO, a user survey is sent out each year to all staff and students. The answers we get will be a valuable contribution to better IT services and support at UiO.
The 2024 User survey
The 2024 survey will be conducted in week 5 and 6, so we can establish a comparative basis with the previous survey conducted in November 2022. The survey will be sent via email to all students and staff. It will be open from January 30th to February 6th. The results of the user survey will be made available in late April 2024.
Why is the survey repeated annually?
On 1 January 2023, a new organization of UiO's IT operations came into force. The aim of the reorganization is, among other things, to ensure that you as a user of UiO's IT services experience access to high-quality user-friendly services that meet your needs, as well as an easily accessible IT user support that has the necessary and relevant expertise. A survey was conducted prior to the reorganization (autumn 2022) so that we have a reference point and basis for monitoring whether the changes affect staff and students' experience of IT services in the right direction and whether the offer for you as a user is improving. The annual surveys are measured against the starting survey from 2022.
Privacy
All data is de-identified before analysis, and your answers will never be linked to you as a person.
The reason why we ask you to log in with FEIDE to answer the survey is to make the work of analyzing and summarizing the results afterwards easier. The only information we will obtain from your user is which faculty you are affiliated with. All collected data is anonymised before the analyzes are carried out, so that no individual is identified either by those working with the survey or in the presentation of the results afterwards.
