Can't see the room you want to book?
If the room you want to book does not appear in Outlook / webmail, the department probably uses another solution. See the department's web pages.
Following are the rules for reserving group rooms:
- Group rooms can only be reserved for a maximum of two hours.
- You can only reserve a room up to?14 days in advance.
- Recurring meetings are not allowed.
- There must be at least two participants (students) to be allowed to?reserve a room.
Reserving with Webmail
Go to mail.uio.no and log in. Choose?Calendar?in the top right corner.

Choose?New event?in the top left corner.

Fill out time and give the meeting a name.
Choose room by clicking Add room.

Choose the correct room list. They all begin with "Kollokvierom" (Norwegian) followed by the building name:

After choosing the correct room list, you should get a list of all free?rooms:

Choose a room and invite participants.
Click?Send?to send the request.
You will recieve an e-mail which tells you if you have been allowed to reserve the room or not.

Open the calendar for a room
You can open the calendar for a specific room so that you can see when it is available.
- In the calendar, right-click on OTHER CALENDARS (in the left column) and select + Add calendar.
- Select From Room list in the submenu that opens.

- Type OJD in the search field, and click on the after the field.

- Double-click on the room you want to reserve. It will appear in the Rooms field below the room list. Click OK at the bottom right of the room list window.?
- You can now see when the room is available, and you can book it from your calendar.
Mobile units
It is also possible to reserve a room from a mobile unit, but mobile units does not allow you to see if the room is free before you try to reserve it.
