Apple Mail for iOS: My e-mail has been migrated

The guide shows what you need to do with Apple Mail for iPhone and iPad after your email and calendar have been moved to Microsoft 365.

  1. When your e-mail and calendar have been moved from the local e-mail and calendar server to Microsoft 365, Apple Mail pops up with a message asking you to enter your password for your Exchange account. Click Edit Settings.

  1. A new message appears asking you if Apple Mail can use microsoftonline.com (Microsoft 365) and share information about you. Click Continue.

  1. You now have to reauthenticate. First by writing your username@uio.no and your password at adfs.uhad.no.

  1. You are then asked to verfify your sign in with your chosen way of doing two-factor authentication. If you are using Microsoft Authenticator approve the sign-in request with the number shown.

  1. Go to Microsoft Authenticator and write in the shown number and press Yes. Make sure that the request comes from the app Apple Internet Accounts.

  1. Apple Mail and Calendar will now download your email and calendar data again. Depending on your Internet connection this can take some time.
