Many e-mail users have created address books in Thunderbird or webmail and want to reuse them in other email programs.
Start an import
Start by choosing Contacts in the navigation panel.
Choose File -> Import.
You will now see a wizard - Evolution Import Assistant:
Go to Importer Type, and choose Import a single file.
Under Select a file, select the file you want to import. File type will be chosen based on the file if possible
Import Location allows you to select the address book you want to import into.
Click Apply when you get to Import Data
