Setup of Apple Mail for iPhone/iPad against MS 365

The guide shows how to set up Apple Mail against Microsoft 365 for your UiO account.

Important:

The guidelines below only apply if your email account is in MS365. All accounts at UiO will be migrated there in the fall of 2024. If you are unsure whether your email is in MS365, you can check it as follows:

Go to ��outlook.office.com. If you see a login window and can log in, you have been migrated. If you are asked to click on a link to be redirected, you have not been migrated.

Go to Settings on your mobile device (iPhone or iPad).
Navigate to Mail and Accounts.
Under Accounts, select Add Account.
Select from which you want to add a Microsoft Exchange account.
Enter your Email as username@uio.no and UiO (or Exchange) as Description of the email setup. Click Next.
Click on Log in to get an automatic setup of your e-mail and calendar at UiO from Microsoft.
Click Continue to accept that your iPhone will be allowed to use Microsoft's service to set up e-mail and calendar.
Log in by entering your password at UiO at adfs.uhad.no. Click Sign in.
Accept the login request with your preferred two-factor authentication setup.
Choose which applications you want to use with Exchange in Microsoft 365. Finish by clicking Save.
