Recovery key

If the hard drive is encrypted and the password is forgotten, it can be difficult to obtain your own data. This tutorial shows you how to get access to a recovery key so you can unlock the hard drive. This presupposes that the machine is registered in mobil.uio.no.

1. Start with logging at https://mobil.uio.no/mydevice

2. Go to Details

3. Choose More and then Security

4. Under Encryption you will find the Recovery Key for your computer

If this is not true for you, you can send a request to it-support@uio.no for help.

Note! To receive a recovery key, you must appear in person and present valid identification.
