What is UiO ID?
- UiO ID is used to retrieve your photo from a passport or national ID card for your access cards.
- New students can find the app through the checklist in My studies.
With the app, you can scan your passport or ID card to verify your identity and submit a photo for the access card. Once the photo is submitted, you complete the order in My Studies and choose where to pick up your card. The card is usually available within a few days.
How to use
The service is available for new programme students starting autumn 2025 who hold a Norwegian passport or national ID card. Order your access card via the checklist in My studies.
Don’t have access to the checklist or a valid passport/ID card?
Then you must visit the Card Centre in person to get your access card.
