The Oslo Life Science Conference 12–18 February 2021

Join the Oslo Life Science Conference 2021! Five days of events on health research, medicine, ethics and pandemics for everyone interested in research, education, innovation, business and politics in life sciences. This year's conference is digital. In addition, the exhibition "Pharmaceutical time travel" will be on view at Universitetsplassen. The conference is free and open to all, but you have to sign up for most of the events.

What experiences have we gained one year after the pandemic started? Which research projects are implemented within the life sciences to prevent new pandemics in the future? What measures can we take to be prepared for a new global pandemic? And what efforts are taken to stop the COVID-19 pandemic globally?  Hosted by UiO:Life Science in collaboration with Oslo University Hospital and The Life Science Cluster.

Exhibition on the University Square 15-18 February

Visit the outdoor exhibition Pharmaceutical Time Travels: From Ancient Plant Remedies to Modern Medicines

Plants have been used for 1000s of years in the treatment of human diseases, though this historical knowledge is often lost. The exhibition is hosted by the convergence environment REA:Life.

 

 

Funding of convergence environments - soon workshop

UiO:Life Science has announced a new call for applications for funding of convergence environments. Thursday 18 February and Tuesday 2 March, mandatory workshops will be held for applicants. In addition, applicants must a scientific profile. See the call 


Support - LagLivLab 

UiO:Life Science supports LagLivLab, an interdisciplinary makerspace where students can take part in research and innovation in life sciences. The new makerspace is a collaboration between Hybrid Technology Hub, A centre of excellence at the Faculty of Medicine and the Department of Physics. Read about the makerspace LagLivLab (link to the Department of Physics' website).
