66 students offered summer projects in life sciences
UiO:Life Science shall recruit, educate and develop talents. Before Christmas the initiative announced that students could apply for summer research projects. The board has decided that as many as 66 students will be offered a project in 2018.

Open meeting for employees at UiO about the life science building 23 May
The life science building at UiO i planned for completion in 2024. The first sod will be cut in the first quarter of 2019. What has been decided so far about who and what the building will house? And what will happen in the building project in the time to come?

Apply for conference or other event support
Academic employees and students at UiO can apply UiO:Life Science for funds for partially financing of open events that are in line with the initiative's strategy. Application deadline 1 June 2018.
Apply for internationalization support
Academic employees, post docs and PhD students at UiO within the life sciences can apply for support to strengthen the collaboration with international research environments. Application deadline 1 June 2018.

A consortium of ten pharmaceutical institutes from the five Nordic countries has received NOK 42 million for the development of new, personalized medicines. "The ambition is for our region to become a leader in Europe in this area," says Professor Ingunn Tho at the School of Pharmacy at UiO.
