UiO's new innovation programme SPARK Norway is on the air! – application deadline 15 December

SPARK Norway is a two-year innovation programme to further develop ideas within health-related life sciences for the benefit of patients and society. Researchers from UiO and affiliated research groups at OUS or Ahus can apply UiO:Life Science to be included in the programme.

The conference for all who are interested in research, education, innovation, business and politics in life sciences. Title in 2018: Investing in health and environment. 

See some of the invited speakers. Now we are working to get internal contributions into the programme before we open the registration in December.

Organizers in 2018: UiO:Life Science, the Association of the Pharmaceutical Industry in Norway (LMI), Oslo University Hospital (OUS), the Norwegian University of Life Sciences (NMBU), Centre for Ecological and Evolutionary Synthesis (CEES), the Norwegian Biotechnology Advisory Board and the City of Oslo.

  • Co-project between medicine and humanities receives funding from CAS
    An international and interdisciplinary research group led by researchers from the Faculty of Medicine and the Faculty of Humanities recently received funding from the Centre for Advanced Study (CAS) to do research on “knowledge translation”.
  • Kjetil Tasken to join Institute for Cancer Research at Oslo University Hospital
    Director of Centre for Molecular Medicine Norway (NCMM) at the Faculty of Medicine, Professor Kjetil Taskén, has been appointed as the Head and Director of Institute for Cancer Research Oslo University Hospital.
  • Ruth Prince receives the ERC Starting Grant
    Ruth Prince from the Faculty of Medcine is one of six researchers in Norway who will receive one of the prestigious ERC Starting Grants awarded this year. The project is an anthropological study that will critically explore moves towards universal health coverage by conducting research among policy-makers, bureaucrats and citizens in three African countries.
