The planned life science building in Gaustadbekkdalen could be completed in 2023. Important requisites for the building project is that the building shall
- enhance innovation and value creation emanating from university research through convergence between scientific disciplines and better interaction between UiO research and the surrounding innovation ecosystem
- be an asset to all life scientists at UiO, also those that will not move into the building
In addition to the Department of Chemistry, the School of Pharmacy and the Centre for Molecular Medicine Norway (NCMM), the building will house advanced research infrastructure and temporary research groups and shall provide access for small biotech businesses and pharma.
We address three challenges and will ask some researchers form UiO and external collaborators to give short introductions before we open up for debate and questions.
