About UiO:Democracy

UiO:Democracy is one of three interdisciplinary initiatives at the University of Oslo, in addition to UiO:Energy and environment and UiO:Life Science.

Main activity

The main activity of the initiative is research, but we will also encompass

outreach
cooperation with non-academic institutions
development of interdisciplinary education with democracy-relevant topics

UiO:Democracy will run from 2023�C2030.
The budget is about 20 million NOK.
Faculty of Humanities is the host faculty.
UiO:Democracy is an independent successor of UiO:Nordic.
